1. Who we are

DocFixer ("we", "us", "our") is a document generation service operated at docfixer.io. We help freelancers create professional PDF invoices, receipts, and service contracts.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

  • Account data — your email address and a hashed password when you register.
  • Payment data — processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We store only the Stripe session ID and credit balance associated with your account.
  • Document content — the information you enter into forms (names, addresses, line items) is used only to generate your PDF. We do not store document content after the PDF is delivered.
  • Usage data — basic server logs including IP address and request timestamps, retained for up to 30 days.

3. How we use your data

  • To create and manage your account
  • To process payments and maintain your credit balance
  • To generate the PDF documents you request
  • To diagnose technical issues and maintain service reliability

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to all payment data: stripe.com/privacy
  • Railway — cloud hosting. Your data is stored on Railway's infrastructure in the US.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your email and password hash are permanently deleted within 30 days. Server logs are deleted after 30 days.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@docfixer.io.

7. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
